The mission of the School Health and Safety Program is to serve as the central coordinating agency and collaborative catalyst for the regional school districts.
- Provide districts with professional development trainings, workshops, and technical assistance on school health issues and concerns.
- Provide training and technical assistance to facilitate and improve District School Health Advisory Councils and Coordinated School Health Programs.
- Assist districts to meet compliance with TEA and Department of State Health Services mandates.
- Be a catalyst for ESC-2 districts for promoting a healthy school environment and healthy behaviors of all students and school district personnel.
